Sherrard Road Pavement
We the undersigned petition the council to Sherrard Road pavements needs to be resurfaced, there are uneven surfaces, pot holes etc.
The council has been kind enough to patch up the pavements on Sherrard Road, looking at the sate of other roads in the area this road is worse. It is safer to walk on road rather than the pavement. I have complained a number of times, few patch work jobs have been done. They even re-patched the area where my mother fell and split her head open, even though i was told that pots had to be 20mm x 20mm before it is classed as dangerous...

Highways - Sherrard Road
Thank you for your e-petition about the conditions of the footways in Sherrard Road. I was sorry to learn of the difficulties residents have been experiencing.
It maybe helpful for me to explain that the extent of the works the Council is likely to carry out, will require us to make alternative arrangements for traffic management to enable the extensive street repairs required to Sherrard Road.
We recognise that major works would benefit Sherrard Road and are therefore proposing in the interim, to carry out reactive maintenance works within the next 3 to 4 weeks weather permitting.
