Crime and Disorder Scrutiny Commission
Purpose of committee
The Crime and Disorder Scrutiny Commission has been established to discharge the Council’s functions under the Police and Justice Act 2006, which requires every local authority to have a crime and disorder committee with the power to review or scrutinise decisions made or other action taken by the Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRP). The role of the Commission is to scrutinise the work of the partners insofar as their activities relate to the partnership itself.
